I promised pictures. Well, I found two good ones of our private physiotherapy symposium.
This is Remco (he is the head of department at the moment for the physio department at the DWU) opening the symposium for us in one of the physiotherapy classrooms.
The public. Unfortunately I took the picture just after a break, so not everybody is on it.
I don’t know if I already told you, but my presentation sucked. In PNG I speak Dutch when in Madang, English and Pidgin in Hagen and sometimes German. It’s just too much. My biggest problem seems to be that when I have to switch to English after speaking Pidgin, I still use the pidgin sentence constructions. So it does not make any sense. So yeah, my presentation wasn’t as fluent as I had hoped.
But tonight there is pool. I’m in a pool competition. Price money seems to be a 1000 kina (=300 euro). So that could be very lucrative for when Petra is coming to PNG. Who is by the way my second visitor. Anyone else coming???????
not to be a pain in the ass, but I only see white people…shouldn’t you spread the word among the non-white people??
put me on the list: in two months time I have probably enough money to buy a ‘around the world- ticket’…if not, I probably get a bonus during christmas (one advantage of working too hard and being ahead of my target…) so then I will definately buy myself a ticket!!!

Wat jammer dat je niet tevreden bent over je presentatie. Was het alleen een talig probleem of was je ook inhoudelijk niet tevreden? Als je Engels praat met pidgin invloeden zal dat toch niet zo’n probleem zijn, lijkt me zo. Men verstaat je toch, ze spreken toch allemaal wat pidgin. Het is waarschijnlijk alleen wat vermoeiender om naar te luisteren. Nou ja, volgende keer beter moet je maar denken. Ook dat, presentaties houden, wil geoefend zijn.
Aan wat voor pool doe jij mee? Wat moet ik me daarbij voorstellen? Jij denkt zo maar even 1000 kina te winnen, optimist! Je boodschap is een week oud, we hebben niks meer van je gehoord, dus die centen dat is niet doorgegaan.
Je vroeg om wat vuurwerk op je blog. Was je tevreden over de flauwekul naar aanleiding van je moppen? Je hebt wat aangericht.
Ik heb helemaal niets te melden. Dus tot een volgende keer maar weer.

Met al die talen word ik een beetje tureluurs. Maar ach, de presentatie was ok.
De pool competitie is nog niet voorbij hoor. Geheel Oktober nog. 1000 kina win je niet zomaar.
Moppen zijn cool en ik heb ook niks te melden nu. Morgen zal ik proberen iets over independance day te vertellen van afgelopen weekend.
