A handstand stand

Paulina had her birthday. I love birthdays because a lot of friends meet. I don’t like birthdays because I usually can’t find proper gift. Now was different. Paulina is a fellow acrobat. I knew she liked something to practice her handstands with. So I’m going to arrange for a handstand stand. Because I haven’t got it yet I decided to put something together. A real one will look like this except there will be more metal involved.

  1. Ahah…So you do like birthdays? Interesting…You don’t like presents…

Is that the bloody reason why you have forgotten my birthday in the past, well, 10 odd years? And not received a present for like, euh, 10 odd years?

Big hint for you then mister: who is turning 30 in 8 weeks? How long do parcels take to get to NZ…?

    :-)

I’m sure you will still forget. At least I now know that you do like my birthday. You just forget.

  2. This means war because… I am absolutely right?

What are you going to do? Send me a post card for every missed birthday? Come over for my birthday? Ignore all my future birthdays (nothing new there…)

    ahahahaha, the fun we have…

  3. Dear sister,

When emigrating to the other side of the world, one loses all rights to birthday presents. Presents are only fun to give when you can give them in person. Sad for you, but your choice.

Of course, Sjoerd still owes you about ten birthday presents.

  4. note 1: last time I checked you can ring and text from the Netherlands to NZ. No reason to NOT congratulate someone for his/her birthday.
Presents are not that important, a thought is (which I said to start with: you forget!!!) And obviously, this has be going on for way BEFORE I emigrated to NZ. I’m just here a year!!

Note 2: so how does this work for your birthdays then? I have been arranging gifts and presents…even non-birthday special events!

note to self: stop sending presents.

  5. You said it yourself; it is the thought that counts. Why would I have to express the thought to the person who is having their birthday?
