I was invited to join Heleen. Whereto? I did not know. We have a sort of cool thing where one arranges something cool for the both of us without telling the other.

We took a train to Amsterdam. In the train she gave me two tickets to Cirque du Soleil. Now I love a good acrobatic show like the next man. The show consisted of:

Awesome show, good live music, super choreography and whopping costumes. Just as an amateur acrobat I could not get my spirits lifted. There was no hand-to-hand acrobatics in the show. And the overall level of technical skill was not really high. The unicycles and Russians bars where high level, but the rest of the acts could have been better.

I just had a most awesome experience on stage.

Hanna (whom you know from the little movie here) made a perfect producer. She created a show about Orpheus and Eurydice with dancers, musicians, and us two as acrobats. I had to become a shadow in the realm of Hades. I think that part at least worked.

Unfortunately during the show, although I wasn’t as nervous as with djembee shows I had before, I almost dropped her. I told her parent later on that it was a win-win situation. At least she would have had a physio to guide her in the rehabilitation process. The entire show was taped with three camera’s. I hope somebody is going make it look like it is supposed to go like that.
